Join us for the Drag Bingo Food Security Fundraiser! Hosted by drag artists, Bad Shah and Sweetness, all donations from this event go towards supporting our Food Security program, including Queer Community Dinner.
In the next room over at the same time will be Oaklands first Queer Clothing Swap.
The first round of bingo will start at 6:30pm, followed by a drag performance, bingo, drag, bingo, drag. The clothing swap will be open right from 6pm – event goers can bring their old clothes and swap them for new ones.
We will have beer, cider and pop available for purchase at the kitchen window.
Entrance will be suggested donation $5-20. No one turned away for lack of funds

We are beginner-friendly and non-competitive! Learn something new, meet local community members, create a safe environment with us, all while playing chess, and a variety of other board games!

In partnership with Gender Generations Project, this new program is for all Trans, Two-spirit, Non-binary, and Gender-diverse older adults (55+)!
Join us on the second Sunday of the month for a drop-in lunch social. There will be a simple lunch provided, and a facilitator to lead discussions, workshops and activities.

The 2SLGBTQ+ Working Group is a group of Oaklands Community Association staff, volunteers, and Oaklands community members who meet once a month to help shape the Queer Futures of our neighbourhood.
We work together to create and support the Queer & Trans programming and events at the centre.
