Here at Oaklands Community Association, we offer a range of child care programs for children aged thirty months to twelve years old. We believe in creating a safe, fun, inclusive environment that caters to the local and surrounding communities. Our experienced, educated, creative staff is passionate about providing exceptional childcare and strive to provide a fun and educational environment for your child. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Out of School Care

Out-of-school care and licensed camps provide a positive atmosphere in which children can develop self-esteem, confidence, and social awareness. While ensuring the kids have a great time, our focus is to encourage and facilitate physical and mental well-being. Our staff offer a warm, safe, and welcoming environment so your child’s time here is fun and memorable. Your child will enjoy lots of fun adventures and create lasting memories. You, as a parent, can rest assured your child is in a safe, warm, and nurturing environment.

Community Development

Our goal is to improve your quality of life in the Oaklands neighbourhood by increasing social inclusion, making recreation affordable and accessible, and creating a lively neighbourhood through special events!

The Oaklands Sunset Market runs  on Wednesday evenings during the summer from 4:30 to 8:30 pm at the Oaklands Community Centre. The Market is a free, weekly community celebration featuring over 40 local food growers and producers, artisans, crafters, live music, a weekly beer garden, and a space for the community to come together and meet their neighbours.

Neighbourhood Planning

In advance of the City of Victoria's Official Neighbourhood Plan (ONP) Development process, the Oaklands Community Association has been tasked to provide the foundation for the plan.

We have recruited and struck an ONP Committee and will be engaging our neighbours in a variety of planning and feedback processes to ensure a neighbourhood plan that represents the will of the neighbourhood.
