First Aid & CPR for youth

Friday, May 19 (Pro D-day)

10:00am-3:00pm (ages 11-14)


 Basic First-Aid with CPR "C" for Youth (no AED) - This fun and interactive 4.5 hour course trains people how to react and improvise when dealing with time priority, life threatening emergencies. This course includes initial assessment, disease prevention, airway obstruction, adult/child/infant CPR (Level C). This course will also cover recognition and first-aid treatment for head and spine injuries, shock, bleeding, seizures and broken bones. Participants spend the majority of the course doing hands on first-aid, and participating in first-aid scenarios.

 Learn the art of embroidery by using a needle, thread, beads and sequins to create personalized works of art! Decorate pieces of fabric or your clothes in a relaxed and friendly environment. Materials and snacks provided. 


All materials supplied and no experience needed. Beginners welcome!

Dodgeball, baking, outdoor games, swimming and movie nights are just a few of the activities you can expect for your FlipOut Friday nights. We provide a fun, safe and welcoming environment for youth to participate in their favourite activities and try new ones. 


No FlipOut on STAT holidays or Pro-D Days. 


$10/child each week.

Explore a variety of mediums used to create beautiful art. Each stream of visual art comes with it's own set of unique skills and techniques. In this introduction, we will experiment with acrylic & watercolor paints / sculpting & sketching / shading & drawing. 

Every 2 weeks we will dive into a new guided project to learn and apply the basic skills involved with each material. 


 All materials supplied. No experience needed.

Great Escape Youth Summer Camp

Week 1: Jul 17 - July 21

Week 2: Aug 14 - Aug 18 


10:00am - 4:00pm (ages 11-15)


Great Escape Camp for Youth ages 11-15 is an indoor/outdoor based camp that will visit parks and beaches around Victoria and participate in fun group activities.


Campers will travel by public transit, so student bus passes will need to be present for those over 12 years old; however, this does not need to be a barrier. An activity calendar of weekly plans will be emailed to families prior to first day of camp. 


Afternoon Snack provided.


Out trips planned this week include Quasars Arcade, Laser Tag, Clover Point, Topaz Park and more with great activities planned in-between out-trips!

4:30 - 6:00pm (Ages 9–16)


Come to Oaklands Elementary School gym and practice your hockey skills off the ice. Equipment is provided; just bring a pair of non-marking shoes and some energy! 


No game on STAT holidays or Pro-D Days.  


Parents welcome to participate, and food donations welcome. 


No registration required

Oaklands Annual General Meeting

You are invited to Oaklands Community Association's 2023 Annual General Meeting! Join us to review the highlights of 2022 and share what you want to see in your community.


The 2023 AGM will be administrative in nature:


  • Presentation of Financial Statements 
  • Program Report 
  • Elections of Directors for 2023-2024 


We are currently recruiting new board members who will be voted on at our Annual General Meeting. 


Note: to run for election, you must be a member in good standing that resides, works, or volunteers in Oaklands.
