Our Philosophy for Early Childhood Education

Our goal is to help every child be happy, secure, and develop fully to his/her true potentials. To meet this goal, we offer our families a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment dedicated to providing a warm and inviting atmosphere that allows children to develop at their own pace. Through play experiences and the guidance of staff, your child will be exposed to situations that will stimulate curiosity, initiative, and independence. All this combined is to ensure our preschoolers are prepared when they reach educational kindergarten. Preschool and childcare programs are based on children’s interests and learning needs, and include the use of individual, small and large group activities, indoor and outdoor play, learning centres, outings and field trips. Activities will be varied frequently and designed to accommodate individual children’s unique abilities. In our programs we believe in allowing children to discover and learn through hands-on learning experiences. We allow children to be inquisitive, experimental and we honor each child’s unique way of learning.

Our Programs

We run an Infant/Toddler program for ages 6 months to 2.5 years old and a full day preschool  program for children ages 3 and 4 years old. Both programs are inclusive and implement our philosophy to aid in the development of each child’s individuality. 

Infant/Toddler program is full for the 2024/2025 school year and our Wait List for Fall 2025/2026 is open for infants. No waitlist for toddlers.

Full Day Preschool has two full time childcare spaces available, and our waitlist is open.

All families currently on our wait list will remain on the list for next available openings. 

Registration is online and a link will be emailed out as soon as a space is confirmed for your child.

7:45am- 5:30pm

Hamilton Park childcare programs will be closed on Statutory Holidays (below) as well as the following dates:

• Winter Cleaning: Tuesday January 2nd, 2024
• Family Day: Monday February 19th, 2024 v  
• Good Friday: Friday March 29th, 2024
• Easter Monday: Monday April 1st, 2024
• Victoria Day: Monday May 20th, 2024
• Canada Day: Monday July 1st, 2024
• BC Day: Monday August 5th, 2024
• Summer Cleaning: Monday August 26th - Tuesday September 3rd. Re-open for care on Wednesday September 4th, 2024 
• National Day for Truth and Reconciliation: Monday September 30th, 2024
• Thanksgiving: Monday October 14th, 2024
• Remembrance Day: Monday November 11th, 2023
• Christmas Day: Monday December 25th, 2023
• Winter Holiday for 2024/25: Monday December 23rd, 2024 - Tuesday December 31st, 2024.
• New Years Day: Monday January 1st, 2024.  Will re-open for care on Thursday January 2nd, 2025. 

Hamilton Park Infant/Toddler Rates*

We offer full-time (5 days per week) spaces based on availability. We are an approved CCFRI childcare program (contract approved until March 2025) and therefore childcare fees are reduced due to government funding. Fees must be paid on the first of every month.

These items must be paid in order to enroll your child:

A $100.00 deposit for registration (will be applied to the last month of care)

A $50.00 annual resource fee

All registrations forms must be filled out and signed through our Esikidz parent app.  If your child’s care is going to be funded by Child Care Subsidy, all paperwork must be complete and a valid authorization number must be on file. It is the responsibility of the parent to make sure subsidy is up to date and renewal papers are completed on time otherwise full child care fees will be applied.
